August 8-10, 2008:  Cape Blanco Trail Ride, Banden, Oregon
Cape Blanco is the western most point in the continental United States.  It features beach access and camping with horse facilities You must make your own reservation. To do this, call Reservations America at 1-800-452-5687. You will not be able to do this on-line, and reservations should be made soon. Spots are large and can be shared.   NEED PARTICIPANTS

September 6, 2008:  Annual Winery Ride, Yakima Valley, Washington
Ride between 3 or 4 wineries, tie the horses and go in for some tasting.  Plenty of transport for lunch and wine purchases.

May 30-June 1, 2008:  Oval Track Riding Clinic with Svanný Stefanssdóttir, Red Feather Ranch, Trout Lake, WA
The FIPO Sport Competition Tests are a great schooling tool for horses and riders. Improve your horse's training, your rider skills, and practice on an oval track for your next show or trail ride. Hosted by Dick and Linda Templeton at Red Feather Ranch. 
Optional trail ride and private lessons on Friday. Friday BBQ and evening class session. Participants ride in groups Saturday, each group has two sessions. Afternoon Fun competition to apply what you've learned. On Sunday participants ride individually 2-3 sessions/tests all on the Oval track. Meals included except Friday. Horse accommodation on site, limited rider accommodation on site.

July 11-13, 2008:  West Coast Icelandic Horse Show, Heritage Park, Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada
This is your chance to participate in an Icelandic Horse competition judged and scored by FEIF rules.  Sport Classes (preliminaries and finals), Pleasure Classes, Junior and beginner Classes.  *BIG FEATURE* Money tolt and gallop races.  Money prizes will be determined later. Judges will be Bernie Willis from Alaska and Kodula Reinholtz from Clear Lake Farm.

This show is low key and fun.  Featuring seven Icelandic-only classes including novice horse, novice rider and junior rider. Also open and schooling classes to show with the other breeds. Judge:  Lonnie Kuehn.

September 12-14, 2008:  FEIF Breeding Evaluation, Fitjamýri Icelandic Horse Farm, Vernon, BC, Canada
This is an official international breeding evaluation using FEIF certified judges and the results will be entered into Worldfengur. friday the 12 will be conformation assessments, Saturday the 13th will be the ridden assessments, and Sunday the 14th will be a young horse evaluation. Worth the trip whether participating or just to watch. [more information coming as available]
