About our Club: The Cascade Club was formed in the mid-1990's. We are located primarily in the Pacific Northwest. We have members in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, northern California and British Columbia, Canada. In 2003 we became an official regional club for the United States Icelandic Horse Congress, but most importantly we are a group of people who have in common a love for the Icelandic Horse. We have two meetings per year, usually in January and in June in different locations. At these meetings we set up events and take care of Club business face to face. Events and Activities: We organize a number of Club events each year, generally one or two per month. Often Club members will participate in non-club organized events such as shows, trail rides or clinics so there are many opportunities to meet and hang out with members. Anyone is welcome to attend our events or hang out with us, whether or not you are a member of the Cascade Club. Our goal is to have FUN with our horses and to share that joy with others. A Resource for Education and Information: Our membership consists primarily of pleasure riders but we also have many breeders and a few trainers in our numbers. Some of our members have owned horses for a long time and offer a wealth of experience. Check out our membership directory to find someone who lives in your area, or to find sellers, breeders, stallion owners or trainers. Or subscribe to our E-mail Group and join us on-line. Club membership is not required. Ask questions, get in-depth information on upcoming events, or just socialize.
